Anyone using Windows XP Home or Professional Edition that is getting
Windows Internet Explorer error on Internet Explorer 6, please check and see if
Windows Update Windows XP KB942615
was installed. You could check this by going into your control panel
then to Add/Remove Programs. Check the box that says Show Updates.
Then
Download the patch below
and reboot your computer.
The issue should stop.
IF that doesn't work then
click
on Change/Remove KB942615 and remove it, Reboot
Its seems that this update is creating issues on some computers.
